Dispatch: Starting Small, But Making Things

In early December OPR Storyteller Max Romey visited OPR’s Innovation Center in Kodiak, and the next day walked away with a prototype of an ocean-recovered product, a watercolor pallette with parts made from ocean-recovered Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (orUHMW).

While on the processing floor he gets insights from team members Kenzie Hahne, Jayme Perman, Danica Majdic, and Andy Schroeder, and concludes with words of inspiration from one of our favorite skiff operators, Leigh Thomet.

We hope you enjoy this latest chapter of OPR’s evolving story of finding and extracting value from ocean plastic waste.
